Quiche

In 164 km from Guatemala City is Santa Cruz del Quiché one of the towns that fully preserves many of the traditions, cultures, and customs, inherited from the ancestors of the Quiche kingdom.

Here you can feel the aroma of nature through the different fruits of the earth, product of the hard work of children, men, and women, appreciate the color of the creativity of the weavers who are inspired by ancestral beliefs and give life to the colorful costume’s characteristic of the beautiful women of the region.

In Santa Cruz del Quiché the first rays of the sun are synonymous with a natural orange juice accompanied by a couple of eggs, the tortillas leave the comal towards the table, to be ingested by the men and women of corn. An ice cream is enjoyed in the same way, both by a child and an adult. Sitting down to sunbathe on the steps of the cathedral is a luxury that anyone who wants to can afford.

In one of the three parks is the monument to Tecun Uman, considered the most representative of our quiche, for its courage and dignity.
